Despite record HD-DVD numbers for the Transformers release, Director Michael Bay still picks Blu-ray Disc.
In a story from USA Today, it seems that Bay isn't 100% happy with the Paramount Home Entertainment title.
"It's a good DVD. But not as good as it could have been," he states.
Since it's release the title has sold 8.3 million Standard DVD units and 190,000 HD-DVDs.
The irascible Director didn't stop there. He then went on to give his feelings about the format war and even went another way with his format choice.
"It's short-sighted and it has delayed consumers' moving to HD (home video)," he said about the format war. "As a director, my critical eye is that Blu-ray is where my money is. Consumers are smart, and they are going to wait it out."
"It just caught on in our culture, and I am excited to do the second one," he offers. "There are so many different and innovative ways you could have fun with this movie."
