The Matrix: Special Edition: The disc has been canceled, and with no explanation from Warner Bros, we can only suspect some licensing entanglements. Though, this news doesn't come as too much of a bummer as the "special" edition was most likely going to be a repackaged version of The Matrix & The Matrix Revisited. Besides, have you looked at your Matrix DVD lately? It's packed with so much extra stuff, I don't think they have anything left to show us...expect for some promos for the new movies.
In addition, DVD File has confirmed with Warner Bros. that the upcoming release of The Animatrix DVD will not be affected by the cancellation.
