In "The Alzheimer Case," a creative and visually innovative Belgian noir thriller, aging gun-for-hire Angelo Ledda (Jan Decleir) takes justice into his own hands when he is pushed to the edge by the corruption that surrounds him. Director Erik Van Looy audaciously takes the cliché of the hit man's last job and turns it into a complex psychological drama with a twist. Here the hit man is plagued by the onset of Alzheimer's disease and retribution becomes a race against time as he drifts toward psychic dissolution.
