The only thing that bugs me is the image of Goku in his Saiyan 'Ape' form. There is no hair! It's just way off. Unless that photo was taken before they had finnished applying the makeup. The face looks about right, just no hair. I'll give it a chance - for all we know - we may be pleasantly surprised.

I think you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I think we should give the movie a chance before we judge anything about it. Trust me I'm a one of the biggest DB fans out there and I'll give my real opinion when the movie come out, so until then stop dogging the movie until you see it!
The trailer is supposed to be coming out later this fall so we'll see until then.

Goku is in High School!? Krillen isn't in the movie!? Justin Chatwin is playing Goku!? Why is the Dragonball glowing between Justin Chatwin's hands like it is a Kamehameha Wave!? Wow, for any real DBZ fan this movie is going to suck big time!!

I've been following this movie for a while now...and I have to say I'm REALLY disappointed with things so far. The trailer better be the best thing ever or I think this movie is gonna suck big time. But regardless, I think it will do great at the box office because of all the teens and fans.

well.. I always wished they would do a big-budget monster flick of Dragonball but had they made a dragonball Z movie i would be more excited. Super Saiyan is the only thing that would get me anxious to see it right off the bat. I'll wait for a preview to come out before passing full judgement though.

Honestly though, it would have been awesome to start in the Frieza storyline where Goku first reaches super saiyan near the end of the movie. oh well.

The only way we'll ever see a DragonBall Z movie that is everything like the anime is if a die hard DBZ fan made the movie, not some jerk that just wants to make a quick buck.
He needs to take DBZ 101.

guys you just have to know what your talking about...its called "Dragonball" for a reason! in dragonball, Goku wasnt Buff at all! he was a skinny bastard. your all thinking of "dragonball Z" in the next movie, they will probably pick someone alot bigger. but in this one i repeat "DRAGONBALL" HE IS SKINNY!

I had been watching the Dragonball for a long time ago. When I was 14 years old at my first TV show of Dragonball all episodes and after I continued watching the Dragonball Z all episodes and the Dragonball GT all espiodes and Dragonball the Movie and DBZ the movie. But if you guys want to make DB Live Action Movie please make it real and dont make like a cartoon of DB the movie. Thanks

And to comment to prime183 and his colorful language and bad spelling in the original Dragon Ball Goku had a powerpole and road on a cloud called Nimbus, (this is also in Journey to the west as a rod that extended to the heavens and Sung Wukong could ride the clouds)

The forbidden kingdom and dragon ball are loosley based on the chinese legend of the monkey king who escorts a buddhist priest west... I believe the story is called (in translation) the Journey to The West. along their travels they are accompanied by
A spirit in the form of a Pig (oolong)
A water demon (Yamcha)
and the priest is Bulma
If you noticed in the forbidden kingdom a mountain that looked like a hand. Thats the mountain it is said that the monkey king Sung Wukong, 9Son Goku) was either sealed in or born from (it changes) Just a lil history for all you fans out there
