Benderspink has picked up film rights to horror comicbook ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction by Kevin Grevioux, creator of the Underworld franchise.
According to Variety, the project revolves around a government weapons program that drops photosensitive zombies into war zones at night to destroy the enemy population. When one of these zombies somehow escapes in the Middle East, a team of elite soldiers must enter hostile territory to stop a growing zombie army.
Benderspink, which will have a booth at Comic-Con in San Diego later this week, will produce the project.
