Another Dark Horse comic book property is getting the big-screen treatment. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Dark Horse comic The Goon will be adapted into a CGI-animated feature film.

The comic book, created in 1999 by Eric Powell, centers on a ruffian who claims to be the top enforcer for a mob boss. The comics also have a paranormal aspect to them, dealing with ghosts, zombies and mad scientists. Dark Horse has been publishing the comic since 2003.

Powell will write the screenplay for the film while David Fincher will produce. No director or studio have been attached as of yet, although Dark Horse does have a first-look deal with Universal.

No production schedule has been revealed for the film.
