Jon Favreau and Marvel Seem to Be Working Out a Deal for Iron Man 2

The future is looking bright for Iron Man 2 and Jon Favreau's involvement with the films. Speaking to Robert Sanchez at IESB.net during the premiere of HBII, Favreau sounded decidedly positive about his expectations for the future films.

A few highlights from the interview include the fact that Favreau thinks getting the film done in time for the proposed release date is possible, but will just be a great deal of work. Favreau also said it was unlikely that he would direct both Iron Man 2 and The Avengers, but would most likely be involved with both films. He also spoke briefly about tie-ins to both Thor and The First Avenger: Captain America.

Iron Man 2 has an expected release date of May 2010.
