G.I. Joe to Begin Production in February

Paramount has tapped Stuart Beattie to write the script for G.I. Joe with an official start date of February 13th, according to Variety.

The movie will be an event-sized film which is targeting a summer 2009 release.

Paramount is in talks with up-and-comer Sam Worthington to star who is currently starring in the James Cameron-directed Avatar.
