... There were no such worries for McMahon when it came time to reprise his role as cosmic bad guy Victor von Doom in
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (June 15). When we last saw Dr. Doom in 2005's summer blockbuster
Fantastic Four, his body was in a casket headed to Latveria.
"Two years have passed for Doom, trapped in this casket," McMahon says. "Needless to say, he's not happy."
He's also not the only bad guy, competing with the powerful master of energy, the Silver Surfer (Doug Jones, who plays Pan and the Pale Man in
Pan's Labyrinth). Doom being Doom, he doesn't want to play nice. He wants to take the Surfer's powers.
"Doom hasn't changed he still wants to rule the world and kill the Fantastic Four," McMahon says. "He's a simple man, really. The great thing is, we don't have to waste any time establishing his character. You get the bad guy from the beginning. It's great demonic, cartoony stuff."
