Playwright-turned-feature film director David Mamet returns to theaters this week with the heavy hitting martial arts drama Redbelt. Set in the west-side of Los Angeles' fight world, the story follows Mike Terry (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a Jiu-Jitsu teacher who has avoided the prize fighting circuit, choosing instead to pursue an honorable life by operating a self-defense studio with a samurai's code. When his wife becomes indebted to a local loan shark, Terry must enter the ring for the first time to try and win some much needed cash. We recently met up with the Redbelt cast to discuss the making of this film.
