Superhero Movie to Get Original Score by James Venable

Superhero Movie will be getting an original score by composer James L. Venable. Film Music Mag reports that the composer of Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4 is re-teaming with director Craig Mazin for the parody film.

Venable's other credits include Clerks II and Jersey Girl, as well as episodes of The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Superhero Movie parodies such superhero franchises as Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and X-Men. The film stars Drake Bell, Sara Paxton, Christopher McDonald, Pamela Anderson and Leslie Nielsen. Superhero Movie opens March 28, 2008.
