Move over Batman, Spider-Man and Iron Man, France is getting it's own cinematic hero. Entertainment News International tells us that the French hero, Vendome, will appear in his own feature film soon.
The hero was created by Frenchman David Tomaszewski and was named after the Parisian square that houses the Ritz. Vendome, who has already appeared in a short film by Tomaszewski, will face off against Quasimodo (also known as the Hunchback of Notre Dame).
Tomaszewski says of his creation "I thought: why can't we too have a superhero, a French one in our cinemas? I want to do something really French, not too inspired by (U.S. company) Marvel comics."
