Kotobukiya and Marvel Entertainment, Inc. have entered into an expansive, multi-year, worldwide licensing agreement for a wide range of high-end collectibles, according to reports from Marvelous News. The deal covers both Marvel Comics and their upcoming films, including this summer's The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man
The arrangement covers seven different categories of collectible, including Kotobukiya's signature line - the ARTFX Statue.
"We are excited to work with Kotobukiya as a premiere collectible partner, and we are confident that their talented designers will bring a new, fresh perspective to our characters. Our comics feature the most recognizable characters in the world, and that matches up well with Kotobukiya's international style and commitment to quality." said Joe Quesada, Marvel Editor-in-Chief.
Additional details will be announced at the American International Toy Fair in New York City, February 17-20, 2008.
Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges and Gwynth Paltrow flies into theatres on May 2, 2008. The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton, William Hurt, Liv Tyler and Tim Roth arrives just a little over one month later, hitting the screen on June 13, 2008.
