"GET THE SHOTGUN, AMY! GET THE SHOTGUN!"
I had wanted to see this movie for a while now. A little while ago, I saw that it was going to be on TV, so I tried to stay up and watch it. I fell in and out of sleep throughout the movie. So I wanted to rent it, and I did.
I think everything about this movie is great, but I would have to say the acting is the best, and most memorable part about the film. I normally don't care for Viggo Mortensen, but I would have to say he did a great job in this movie. In one scene, he gets stabbed in the foot by a man. The later on in the movie, he has to do a running scene, and he definatly looks like he got stabbed in the foot a few days ago. I know that may sound petty, but sometimes it's the little things that make the difference. Like small plot holes, which this had none of. I also think that everyone else did a good job, including Ed Harris, as the main guy that stalks Viggo Mortensen and his family, William Hurt, who has a small role, but does a great job with it, and Maria Bello, who plays Viggo's wife. All do phenomenonally well.
The director of this movie would be the famous David Cronenberg, who has brought us movies like Crash and The Fly. He does a great job, as usual with his movies. You can tell that he took his time, and did not rush this movie, just so he could make money faster.
A great movie that I recommend highly to anyone.
