Showtime is working the The L Word franchise with a spinoff starring Leisha Hailey.
According to Variety, the actress has signed on to shoot a pilot presentation for Showtime. Ilene Chaiken, creator and exec producer of The L Word, will write and produce the pilot.
Shooting is scheduled for December.
Since 2004, Hailey has played Alice on The L Word, a series about a group of gay and straight women living in a trendy Los Angeles neighborhood. The sixth and final season of the Showtime-produced skein is slated to run in January. |
