Activision, in a conference call, let slip that a new Spider-Man game was a part of their slate for 2008. MTV reports that, in addition to such big ticket games as Call of Duty, Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, they were also moving forward on plans for a new game featuring everyone's favorite wall-crawler. They also said that they would work on a sequel to their hit Marvel Ultimate Alliance game.
Activision's video game adaptation of Spider-Man 3 was the #1 movie-based video game in dollars world-wide.
There was no word as to whether the game would follow the storyline established in the Spider-Man movies, or if it would be an adaptation of the character from the comics, or if it might be tied to the upcoming The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon.
