We pretty much knew this was going to happen. According to Myway.com, Isaiah Washington has been fired from ABC's medical drama Grey's Anatomy.
Five months ago, Washington was accused of screaming a gay slur at one of his co-stars. Now, his contract is not being renewed. Washington responded by saying, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."
In an earlier attempt to make up for the derogatory slurs, Washington went to therapy. He also personally apologized to the GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) orginization and filmed a public service announcement about the power of hurtful words.
The May season finale of Grey's Anatomy set up Washington's departure. He is now currently doing charity work in Sierra Leone. He also hopes to work on an undisclosed independent film.
