Greg Berlanti and Rene Echevarria Develop The Return

Greg Berlanti and Rene Echevarria are developing a sci-fi project for ABC, which will explore the impact on the world -- including the White House -- when aliens land.

According to Variety, Echevarria arrives with full-fledged sci-fi chops, having come from the world of Star Trek and exec produced The 4400 and Dark Angel.

Berlanti is behind ABC's Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone and Brothers & Sisters.
