Justin Hartley, who has made a big impression on fans with his portrayal of Oliver Queen/the Green Arrow on Smallville, has recently signed a holding deal with the CW network, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hartley's association with the network goes beyond Smallville, having also played the role of Arthur Curry/Aquaman in the network's pilot for Mercy Reef.
Hartley has also recently appeared in another pilot for the CW in a new series titled Spellbound. It has also long been rumored that the network may create a spin-off from Smallville, possibly starring Hartley's Green Arrow.
Hartley can also be seen in the upcoming Warner Bros. film Spring Breakdown opposite Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Parker Posey and Rachel Dratch.
