Anna Torv has signed on to star in Fringe, the new J.J. Abrams sci-fi drama coming from the Fox network. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Abrams' claims Torv to be his latest discovery, the others being Keri Russell on Felicity, Jennifer Garner on Alias and Evangeline Lilly on Lost.
Fox will air a two-hour pilot, which will be directed by Alex Graves. The pilot will center on Olivia Warren (Torv), a young female FBI agent who is forced to cover the spread of unexplained phenomena. TV and stage actress Blair Brown and Jasika Nicole have also joined the cast of Fringe.
Fox has not yet announced when the two-hour pilot of Fringe will air.
