The CSIs eventually find the abandoned boat, and the registration leads them to The Mist Cafe, where two of Bennett's parolees work. When parolee Kyle Harmon is brought in for questioning, Horatio is intrigued and somewhat curious about his past. He enlists the help of Yelina Salis, who is now working as a private investigator, to look into his background. She learns that Kyle was shuffled around in various foster homes and that his mother, Julia Eberly, abandoned him.
