the movie ending was definitely better but now I can see a sequel in it. This movie is great without a sequel but i wouldn't mind seeing a sequel now.

The original was definitely better because Will Smith's character needs to be sacrificed for dramatic effect. The zombies are a walking disease, and a cure must be found at all cost! The death of one person will save millions!!!

The ending wasn't bad. I like the fact that Will Smith's character lived through the whole thing. But I didn't like the zombies or whatevers embracing each other, that was pretty craptastic.

The Reason for the alternate ending is also because of the book since the movie it self was based on a book. If you loved the movie so much go out and read the book. I believe the book is much better then the movie and it is somewhat different but the book explains everything into greater detail and you understand everything better also

well, were do they go next? rhode island, Boston, new Hampshire? how do they find a cure, i didn't see any samples kept from the test person-thing... i didn't really like this ending. why would the things be a problem if they were still humain with feelings and minds?this ending leaves many questions. the other ending should stay being the original ending. i am legend was my favorite movie and this is why i am deeply into reviewing this. i am only 14 and don't really care, but when it comes to this movie, it is cool.
